About Innovate SFL

Innovate South Florida brings together the finest private schools in South Florida in a business plan competition that not only enhances community awareness of and provides financial support for Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE)’s mission, but also provides the participating students with an enriching and fulfilling opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship and business development

Our WHY

Proceeds from this event support NFTE, a global nonprofit founded in 1987, that brings entrepreneurship education to students in under-resourced communities. NFTE's mission is to ignite the entrepreneurial mindset through unique learning experiences, empowering students to take control of their futures. With rigorous programming taught by highly trained teachers, NFTE believes that entrepreneurship education connects classroom learning to the real world. By teaching the entrepreneurial mindset, NFTE equips young people with the tools and attitudes to overcome challenges and address future personal, economic, community, and global issues. NFTE's classroom-based program model includes entrepreneurial curricula that teach math and life skills.

WHO

The top private schools in South Florida will hold their own internal competitions to determine who will represent their school at Innovate. Each representative will make a 7–10-minute oral presentation to a panel of judges and then participate in a question and-answer session.
